Emergency Preparedness Training Workshop

This workshop, led by Aaron Titus, will prepare you and your families and/or communities for likely disasters and find realistic solutions for your needs. This workshop will also train the trainer - you will learn how to facilitate similar seminars in your communities.

Participants will leave the seminar with:

  • A custom family preparedness plan based upon peer feedback.
  • A custom preparedness gap analysis.
  • A comprehensive framework to understand, organize and discuss emergency preparedness concepts.
  • A roadmap for creating a personalized 72-hour kit
  • Training on disaster recovery principles based upon Sandy, Derecho Storms, and Irene experience.

Aaron Titus serves as the New Jersey representative to Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Helping Hands/LDS Charities). He helped organize the Mormon Helping Hands disaster relief responses for Hurricane Sandy in 2012, the New Jersey "Derecho" thunderstorms, and to Hurricane Irene in 2011. He is a recipient of the New Jersey Governor's Jefferson Award for public service.
