Spend a Night in the Forest with Great Swamp Watershed Association

Join GSWA Thursday, July 10, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m, for a summer hike under the stars at Primrose Farm, located at approximately 15 Brook Drive South in Harding Township, NJ.

This after-dark hike will teach participants about nocturnal wildlife; insects in particular!

GSWA's Director of Education and Outreach Hazel England will guide this short jaunt through forest and meadow. Along the way, she will help you get in touch with your night senses. She will also fill you in on the local nightlife.

Fun, family-oriented activities will include a music lesson that teaches you how to tell the song of a cricket from the song of a grasshopper, cicada, or katydid; and an exercise that will show you how a moth finds its way through the dark.

Space is limited, so advanced registration is strongly recommended. To register or get complete details, please visit GSWA online at GreatSwamp.org or call (973) 538-3500 x22.

Participation is free, but please consider making a donation of $10/adult or $5/child (6 to 17 years) in support of this event when you register. There is no suggested donation for children five and under.
