The Essex County Historic Holiday House Tour has been expanded to include 17 historic sites around the county.
The public is invited to take a self-guided tour of the homes and grounds decorated for the holidays.
The tour includes perennial favorites, such as Essex County Kip’s Castle in Verona and the Walther House at the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Montclair.
Newcomers include the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, Greenwood Gardens in Short Hills, Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center in Bloomfield and The Salvatorian Fathers Catholic Church in Verona.
“The Holiday House Tour is a great example of organizations throughout the County pooling their resources to create a wonderful event for families to enjoy and to provide insight into how past holidays were celebrated,” Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo said.
