DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Avianna find her Forever Home

Avianna, also known as Ava, is a 2 1/2 years old female Yellow Labrador Retriever mix. She lost her back right paw when she was just a puppy. HFG paid to have a prosthetic foot fitted for her.  Ava can walk and run with or without her pink prosthetic paw and is learning to use her prosthetic foot.

Avianna is a beautiful, loving, sweet dog that doesn't realize she has a handicap. She loves to chase balls, squirrels, deer and anything else that moves. Avianna is playful and loves other dogs and people. Ava also does well in the car and loves car rides.

Extremely affectionate, Ava will lie at your feet or curl up beside you. While she wants to be with you, Ava can entertain herself easily. Ava is wonderful and her forever family will be amazed at the love and affection they'll receive from her. While it is not a requirement, Avianna would love to go to a home with another four-legged pal. Avianna is up-to-date with her vaccinations, spayed, and micro-chipped.

About Home for Good Dog Rescue:

Home for Good is a volunteer-based, 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a 100 percent foster based organization with an office in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.

At Home for Good, we seek the best treatment for our animals. We provide medical care, training, support and hope. Our dogs are vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. We rescue puppies and dogs that are facing euthanasia. Some require surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs, while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care for respiratory illnesses, skin infections, heartworm treatments, and emergency surgeries. Through our adoption services, these loving animals are given a chance at a happy and fulfilled life.
