Back-to-School Night

Back-to-school night was particularly interesting this year. With one senior and two freshmen I found myself trying to follow three different schedules in order to meet a total of 21 teachers. No small feat.

So instead of spending the allotted eight minutes in a classroom, I spent four. Instead of hitting every class I had to pick between several. In the end I think I saw about a dozen teachers and got a feeling of what my three boys go through each and every day.

It's a big school, long stretches to cover between classrooms and only four minutes between classes. That includes hitting the lockers to change textbooks. Wow. Impressive. I came home that night exhausted....how do they do it every day???
