Letter to the Editor From Chamber of Commerce

A letter from Executive Director Karol Mcnulty thanking the town for this year's President's Cup.

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, I would like to offer sincere thanks to the many township departments, community groups, organizations and individuals for helping to make the 33rd Annual Investors Bank President’s Cup Night Race held on June 18th such a success.  More than 1,200 runners registered for this year’s 5k run.

Thank you to the Township Police department. They did an outstanding job of traffic control, ensuring the safety of both runners and spectators. Thanks to the Department of Public Works, the Millburn-Short Hills Rescue Squad and Fire Department, and to the staff at Charlie Brown’s Restaurant who did a tremendous job with cleanup.  Thank you to Mayor Haimoff and the Millburn Township Committee for its support of this event.

A special thanks to Mike Conforti and the entire staff at The Sneaker Factory.  They are responsible for the behind the scenes organization.  Their expertise that has nurtured this race making it one of the best managed 5K races in the region.

Thanks to our American Red Cross for coordinating the water stop and to the First Aid Squad who made assistance available. Thanks to Claudia and Michael Karp and the Weichert Realtors volunteers for manning the water stops and to Millburn High School for providing the necessary equipment and allowing us to use their property on graduation night.
