Man Dies After Jumping off Parking Deck at Short Hills Mall
A man from Union jumped to his death at Short Hills Mall on Jan. 10, according to the Millburn Police.
A 58-year-old man from Union committed suicide after jumping off of a parking deck at the Short Hills Mall on Jan. 10, according to a report from northjersey.com
The report states that Millburn Police officers were called to the mall after receiving a tip from mall security officers who said there was a suspicious man lurking around on level four of the parking deck near Macy's.
The officers attempted to approach the man and the man then climbed up onto the ledge of the parking deck and fell over, according to the report.
The man was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital and later died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation is on-going and the preliminary indication is that the man committed suicide, according to the report.
