Police Make Mall Shoplifting Arrests

Two New York women are arrested at the mall.

Two New York women were arrested in two separate shoplifting incidents at the Mall at Short Hills.

On Saturday, Sadrine Knight, 25, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested and charged with shoplifting and carrying false government documents. Further, there was a warrant for her arrest from Hackensack, according to Millburn police.

At just after 3 p.m., police went to the Hollister store at the mall. Knight was in custody at the store for allegedly concealing merchandise in her handbag. Police said the merchandise was valued at $117. Police said she also possessed a false driver's license in someone else's name.

On Thursday, Albertina Connor, 46, of New York, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Police responded to a call from Neiman Marcus at the mall at just after 2:30 p.m. on a report a shoplifter was in custody. Police said she concealed a belt valued at $325 in her handbag and exited the store.
