Two Men Arrested in Alleged Armed Robbery at Mall

Joseph Collins, 21, of Clark, and Robert Collins, 29, of Kenilworth, were arrested by Kenilworth police for parking deck incident at the Mall at Short Hills, police say.

Two brothers, who allegedly robbed a 24-year-old man in the parking deck of the mall at Short Hills Saturday, were arrested by Kenilworth police, Millburn police reported.

According to police, the 24-year-old man was threatened with a knife by 21-year-old Joseph Collins in the Nordstorm's parking deck at 3:07 p.m. on Feb. 23. 

A description of Collins and the vehicle from the man robbed led to an investigation by Millburn and police in surrounding towns, police said.

A car matching the description was stopped by Kenilworth police and Joseph Collins of Clark and his 29-year-old brother, Robert of Kenilworth were arrested.

Joseph Collins was charged with robbery, conspiracy, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Robert Collins was charged with robbery and conspiracy. 

The brothers were lodged in the Essex County Detention Center. They are being held in lieu of $10,000 bail each. 

The alleged robbery remains under investigation by Millburn police.
