Woman Stole More Than $2,500 in Clothes From Mall, Cops Say

Incident was one of three thefts this week.

A woman stole more than $2,500 worth of clothing from the Mall at Short Hills on Tuesday, Millburn Police said.

Sandra Fiore was charged with shoplifting Tuesday at about 4 p.m. Police would not release her age or address.

According to Capt. Michael Palardy, Fiore put a Helmut Lang black leather jacket, an Alice and Olivia red leather jacket and black shirt and a Thakgon Addition leather skirt in her purse while in Neiman Marcus.

Fiore then left the store without paying, Palardy said. The items were valued at a total of $2,720.

The incident was one of three reported thefts this week.

A couple stole five Michael Kors purses from Bloomingdales Tuesday at about 8 p.m., police said.

According to the report, the pair grabbed the purses, valued at $1,350, left the store and sped off in white Mercedes Benz.

Palardy said Millburn police were unable to track down the couple, however they were captured on store surveillance.

At King's Market in Short Hills Monday, a Millburn resident reported $150 was stolen from her purse when she misplaced her purse while shopping, police said.

According to the report, the resident told police she misplaced her purse just after 5:30 p.m. When the store found the purse just over an hour later, the resident told police she was missing $150. However, her driver's license, credit card and other papers were still in her purse.
