State representatives, local officials expected to be on hand.

State officials will join local leaders and residents will discuss a spate of recent carjackings at a special township meeting Wednesday.

State Sen. Richard Codey and Assembly members Mila Jasey and John McKeon are expected to attend the meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building meeting room at 375 Millburn Ave.

“A quorum of the Millburn Township Committee is expected to be present at this meeting for the purpose of having a State Legislator Public Hearing pertaining to recent crime in Millburn and any other matters that may rightfully come before the Committee,” the township wrote in a release on its website. “Formal action is not expected to be taken at this meeting.”
