Paving on Wyoming Avenue Extended, Road to Stay Closed
Essex County estimates it will finish the project in Millburn, South Orange and Maplewood early next week.
Residents should expect continued delays with the paving of Wyoming Avenue now extended to Monday.
For the last two weeks, Wyoming Avenue has been closed for repaving from South Orange Avenue to Glen Avenue through Millburn, South Orange and Maplewood.
Essex County originally estimated its repaving project would be completed Thursday but due to inclement weather over the last week the paving was delayed, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. announced Wednesday.
According the county, the improvement is part of DiVincenzo's administration’s ongoing initiative to modernize infrastructure to maximize safety for pedestrians and motorists, and to enhance the quality of life in Essex County.
