Five Things You Need To Know Today

Schools closed Thursday and Friday, Kidstuff Coupons, Storytime openings, meeting space, Rec Department programs.

1)  Remember - All  Millburn Township Public Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday for Rosh Hashanah.  Happy New Year to those who celebrate! 

2)  There's still time - You can still purchase Kidstuff Coupon Books.  The coupons include stores like Barnes and Noble, Children's Place, Dick's Sporting Goods, Gymboree, Imagine That!, Lord & Taylor, Michael's and Shop Rite.  And also attractions like Bronx Zoo, Crayola Factory, Liberty Science Center, Intrepid Museum, Sesame Place, Shawnee, Camelback.  The books are 400 pages and cost $25.  This is a fundraiser for the Millburn Integrated Pre School.  You can purchase these books until September 30th, Friday. 3)  The Millburn Public Library has a few open spots for Storytime.  Sign up for these spots online at www.millburn.lib.nj.us/ or by calling 973-376-1006 or in person.

4)  Looking for a place to hold a meeting?  You can reserve rooms at the Millburn Public Library.  Both non-profit and for profit organizations are welcome.  The library has a coffee urn, a refrigerator and a digital projector.  Log onto  http://www.millburn.lib.nj.us/about/mtgrm_policy.htm for details.  Or call 973-376-1006.  

5)  For students ages 5 - 10 - Register for the Millburn Recreation Department's. Little Bakers and Junior Scientists. Also, offered is the Sneakers program for children with special needs.  Sneakers provides fun activities with social skills building.  Contact the Recretation Department for details at 973-564-7097.  You can also log onto their site and register online:  http://twp.millburn.nj.us/Recreation.
