Guest Conductor Mentors Millburn Fifth-Grade Orchestra Students
Rob Grice composed 'Academie Musicale' specifically for the Millburn students.
The annual Elementary Spring Festival of Music Tuesday night at Millburn High School featured the premiere of a piece from guest conductor and composer, Rob Grice.
Grice composed “Academie Musicale” specifically for the fifth grade town wide orchestra. Grice visited the town wide orchestra in April to teach the group, which consists of fifth-grade string players from all of the elementary schools, how to perform this piece.
The fifth grade orchestra, which practices together each Friday before school, performed during an assembly Tuesday morning for the entire fourth and fifth grade classes at Millburn High's auditorium.
