The dance team has been in Miami the past week participating in master dance classes with world-renowned choreographers and dancers, and learning the routines they will perform with other high school dancers from around the country.
The Millburn Dance Co. are 11 of 480 dancers from 22 other states that participated in the performance at halftime. They are the only team from New Jersey this year.
MHS dance teacher Arvin Arjona leads the team and stated he is very “proud” of his team and their opportunity to perform at the Orange Bowl.
“ I am so proud of these ladies and I am honored to be their teacher and get to share this experience with them,” Arjona said through email correspondence with Patch. “I am very excited to have these 11 young dancers from Millburn High School have this opportunity because they will never forget it. They will never forget they had the chance to perform with country star Dierks Bentley at the Discover Orange Bowl Half Time Show.”
The dance company were placed on the 10-yard line and 7 1/2-yard line on the right side of Dierks Bentley performance and were seen from the right side front corner of the television, according to Arjona.
