Millburn High School Hosts Holocaust Remembrance Day

Teacher: 'This is truly the last generation of young people who will be able to bear witness to the stories of these survivors.'

Millburn High School hosted its annual Holocaust Remembrance Day for students on Wednesday, April 9. Four speakers, Erwin Ganz, Marsha Kreuzman, Hedy Brasch and Norbert Bikales discussed their Holocaust experiences during six periods of the school day.

“The survivors were all amazing and the impact they had on the students who saw them today was profound," according to social studies teacher and Holocaust Day coordinator, Sharon van Blijdesteijn. "This is truly the last generation of young people who will be able to bear witness to the stories of these survivors.”

The event was recorded by the high school’s Studio 462 student broadcasters. It can be viewed here: http://new.livestream.com/millburnstudio462/holocaustremembrance
