Millburn HS Hosting Autism Awareness Program

Award winning advocate Kerry Magro scheduled to speak on Tuesday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Millburn High School.

The Millburn High School Autism Awareness Club is hosting a presentation by a public speaker and author with pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS), a form of autism.

The talk, scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Millburn High School Library will feature the award winning, breakthrough advocate Kerry Magro.

Magro, a New Jersey native, is the author of Defining Autism From the Heart: From Nonverbal to National Speaker, a book for special need parenting.

He'll be speaking at the high school to commemorate the end of Autism Awareness Month.

The event is open to the public.

Magro is the CEO and founder of KFM Making a Difference, a non-profit organization that is focused on affordable housing for disabled individuals in New Jersey. A recent graduate of Seton Hall University with a master's degree in strategic communication. Magro has served as a keynote speaker at over 350 events worldwide.  

He has also worked as a consultant on several films including "Don't Foil My Plans", "Jane Wants a Boyfriend" and the 2012 Warner Brother's film "Joyful Noise".
