'Slut List' Details Made-Up Sexual Exploits of 21 MHS Freshmen

The list is at the center of an alleged hazing and bullying incident at the high school.

The "slut list" at the center of the alleged hazing and bullying incident at Millburn High School has nearly two dozen names with sexually explicit details.

Millburn-Short Hills Patch secured a copy of the "The Slut List of 2010" on Monday. The list includes the names of 21 freshmen girls and three "honorable mentions." Most of the girls mentioned are 13 or 14 years old.

Between each girl's first and last name is a sexually explicit description about her, which was made up by a group of senior girls. Some are more tame, including "My thick, bushy eyebrows can't cover up the fact that I look like I'm nine." Others are more explicit, including one that implies the girl may be sexually attractive to her brother. Some are too graphic to quote directly.

Among the descriptions from the list:

  • "My friends practice giving head on me because I'm a man."
  • "I'm so desperate and hairy that I'll give you NyQuill for free if you get with me."
  • "I want it so bad I'll beg you to stick it in."
  • "I (censored) like I blow the candles out on the menorah."
  • "Keeping up with the family tradition, bend me over and knock me up."

The end of the list is signed "We hate you all, Seniors 2010."

School officials confirmed on Friday they received complaints from parents about a select group of freshmen girls being hazed by senior girls on the first day of school. In addition to the "slut list," there are allegations the freshmen were pushed into lockers and seniors blew whistles in their faces.

But school officials said none of the freshmen nor witnesses have come forward to file a complaint. Additionally, they said none of the school staff saw anything out of the ordinary.

Schools Supt. Richard Brodow and the Board of Education are expected to address the situation during the board meeting at 7:45 p.m. at the Education Center Monday.

I guess this is nothing new and that's what is so disappointing. Bullying and harassment are still looked upon as facts of life and, therefore, inevitable. The most telling quote was, "none of the school staff saw anything out of the ordinary."

Sometimes girls who are often seen as Good Girls have to do something Bad to feel that they are part of something cool. Parents should ask their daughters what is good and what is new" about school lately so they can show their daughters that they are involved with their education. This is absolutely disgusting. These girls, the school and anyone that has condoned this behavior should be ashamed of themselves. Yes, if you think the school has no idea that for the last 10- 15 years that this 'slut' list has been around - read their quotes to ABC- and other sites.... We as Parents, a community, a nation, as human beings- ought to be teaching our daughters that they are more worthy then joining a group that would demean them and treat them like a piece of meat, all the while setting them up to be brutalized, humiliated... Think about those women who have struggled all of their lives against abuse, rape, racism ... why would a 'highly thought of' school, community and students tolerate such behavior..? Senior girls: Do what's right here make a public apology and celebrate being a MATURE SENIOR, one who's deserving of the title, by being a role model for our younger classmates- Show them you are someone to be aspired to- that you do not have to haze someone to show them you are more important or more worthy.. Lead by being a leader. And study the poem Still I Rise- by Maya Angelou. Always, A Rape Survivor

I'm quoting MSN, who told me the district of Millburn-short hills is predominately made of CHILDREN who live in neighborhoods where the homes average beween 1.2 - 2 million dollars. I can send the video if you would like. And they do put other schools like this in the news, it just so happens this story got noticed nationally because of the acts of stupid little girls. Seriously, spreading rumors about junior high girls? Girls who have to go to school for about another 6 years? You basically ruined the reputation of these girls, all so you can look cool. This is not something you girls have to live with, because it wasn't about you. I hope whoever did this, loses scholarships to colleges, gets kicked out whatever national society branch you're a part of more, and moreover, I hope someone treats you as shitty, even worse than you treated those little girls. Trashy and Tacky are the only two appropriate adjectives I can think of.

Folks, I'm glad you all are discussing this issue, which I also know is an emotional one. That being said, remember to keep the discussion civil.

The most terrible and disturbing issue about this entire slut list fiasco is not the bullying, but the fact that among the student population, it's a "good thing" to be on the list. Girls are devastated when they find out they did not make the list. Obviously, nowadays, being popular means being "slutty". By the way, I'm from Short Hills as well, and this really gives us all a bad name! Stefanie

I'd love to know how these girls would survive in the high school I attended!
