Waters Remains Board of Education President

New board members are sworn in at the board of education reorganization meeting Monday.

Jeffrey Waters was chosen as president by other board members at the board of education reorganization meeting Monday.

Waters served as president in 2013 and has been a member of the board since 2008. 

Regina Truitt was named vice president by a unanimous board vote. Truitt was elected to the board in 2011.

New board member Chase Harrison abstained from voting when voting for Waters took place.

Board members Harrison, Emily Jaffe, Michael King and John Westfall-Kwong were also sworn in at the meeting.

Chase, an 18-year-old student at the high school, will serve a one-year term, while Jaffe, Westfall-Kwong and King will each serve three-year terms.
