Wyoming Students Rehearse for Destination Imagination

Last week a rally was held for the students at Wyoming Elementary School who have been working hard on their Destination Imagination projects for many weeks.  It was also a dress rehearsal.

Destination Imagination is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization.Their program encourages teams of learners to have fun, take risks, focus and frame challenges while incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the arts and service learning.  It provides opportunities for kids to learn how to work together, solve problems effectively and experience the creative process.

The three teams from Wyoming Elementary School chose three different challenges. 

Team name: Bully Breed Brunch
Service Learning Challenge: Pitch and Play
Team members: Sophie Garcia, Lily Roth, Madeline Campbell

Team name: The Yetis
Scientific Challenge: Going to Extremes
Team members: Dhruv Pande, Andrew Bisig, Megan Fehrenbach, Nico Cosareanu and Ambika Polavarapu

Team name: DILR
Structural Challenge: The Tension Builds 
Team members: Ishaan Ghosh, Leo Licciardi, Ron Zuckerman and Dev Nadkarni
