Oh My Gifts Talks Small Business

Millburn Patch performs a Q&A interview with Oh My Gifts owner Erika Young in anticipation of Small Business Saturday.

What type of business is Oh My Gifts?

Young: "We are a gift store, but we also sell convenience items such as Aleve, candy and other goods.."

How long has your business been in the township?

Young: "Four years."

What is your signature item or an important feature of your business?

Young: "We have international jewelry from Israel, Portugal and another gorgeous line from Turkey. We also have many gifts from Mexico."

What are some of the positives and negatives of owning a small business?

Young: "The positives of owning my own, small business is that I get to know a lot of the people in town, I make my own hours and my schedule is very flexible. A negative is trying to get people to shop here. We need people in town to shop locally more often."

What is the best thing about owning a small business in Millburn?

Young: "The thing about being here is Millburn is that the location is perfect to draw people from all over. The location is good and people like coming to Millburn."
