Lottery numbers were drawn Wednesday for the ING New York City Marathon; was yours among them?
Back when you could just sign up, I ran the NYC Marathon, and I still feel a little like I should run it again whenever I see people start their training. Then my knees remind me that I really prefer shorter distances and/or walking now.
But, here at Patch, we'd really like to know who won the lottery and will be running the streets of Millburn and Short Hills in preparation for the marathon on Sunday, Nov. 4. If you haven't checked yet, the lottery results are available here.
If you're in, Patch would like to follow your journey, not just the 26.2 miles, but the training sessions this summer. Tell us in the comments how you'll prepare. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, if you'd like to blog about the experience.
Experienced runner? Do you have tips for the first-timer? Tell us in the comments.
Runners, take your marks.
