Dam Construction to Close Parts of Taylor Park

Taylor Park dam and retaining wall restoration have started

Millburn Township has announced the project to restore the Taylor Park dam and retaining wall have started closing parts of the park.

According to the township's website, the pedestrian bridge over the current dam and the practice tennis wall and surrounding wooded areas are currently closed.

Additionally, a small part of the Taylor Park playground will be closed in the near future allowing only the Ridgewood Road entrance for playground access.

However, the township said the majority of the play structures will remain open and a construction fence will separate playground users from the work area.

Park visitors may use the northern pedestrian bridge which is near the intersection of Main and Taylor Streets for access from Taylor Park to Main Street.
