'The Kootz' to Rock Taylor Park

The Summer Concert Series' second show is set for Sunday in Taylor Park.

Millburn Recreation Departments kicks off its second show Sunday in its Summer Concert Series in Taylor Park.

Residents are encouraged to come down with lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the free concert that starts at 7 p.m. featuring 'The Kootz.'

“The Kootz” is a multi-member, traveling gypsy-like caravan headed up by Glenn Taylor of Essex County, playing lead guitar, keys and vocals.  

Also performing in 'The Kootz' will be:

  • Peter Scance playing base guitar and vocals
  • Al Egizi, playing guitar and vocals
  • Scott Calvert, playing saxophone, woodwinds, percussion and vocals
  • Don Guinta, playing the drums and vocals.  
The group was originally known as “The OJM” Band (Old Man Jam Band) as they played together occasionally around north NJ since 1993.  In 2001 they formally became “The Kootz”.

Refreshments and food will be on sale Gian Marco Trattoria including pizza, sausage and pepper sandwiches, chicken fingers and ice cream.
