Springfield Stop & Shop Hearing to Continue Monday

Here is what's on the agenda in Millburn and Short Hills this week.

On Monday, the Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Town Hall on the second floor. Agenda is attached for review. 

Hearings on the Springfield Stop & Shop will continue at the meeting.

In the last meeting, which was cancelled, the Village Supermarkets attorney Stephen Barcan was scheduled to start calling witnesses to testify at the meeting.

The Stop & Shop is proposed for the old Saks Fifth Avenue location, 92 Millburn Ave. in Short Hills. Even though that property is located in Springfield, Millburn has jurisdiction on the 20-foot piece of land entering the property, the township engineer, Thomas Watkinson, said.

The Millburn Township Committee will meet Tuesday night at 8 on the second floor of Millburn Town Hall. An agenda is attached as a pdf.

On Wednesday, The Planning Board meeting is set to meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of town hall. Check out the attached PDF for the agenda.

On Friday, the 21st annual Farmers Market will continue on Friday at 8 a.m. in Municipal Lot No. 1, on the corner or Main and Essex Streets. It will be held there every Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
