Hartshorn Elementary School is one of Millburn's five public elementary schools. The school is in the Short Hills section of the community and was originally constructed in 1958. School officials completed renovations on the school in 1997. A second addition was completed in 2004.
The PTO and parents are active as volunteers at the school. The PTO sponsors the After School Enrichment program, which runs from 3-4 pm after school. The topics in the program change with every session.
