Both my children recently attended the Co-op, and it was a terrific academic and social experience for our whole family. The multifaceted, time-tested curriculum truly encouraged my kids' intellectual and social growth, using age-appropriate learning-through-play activities to capitalize on the kids' innate curiosity. Both kids learned much more than the basic ABCs and 123s -- they acquired problem-solving skills that will form a foundation for schooling and socializing for years to come. By spending invaluable time in the classroom, my husband and I got to witness our kids' development firsthand, and to pick up some incredibly useful parenting tips.
In addition, the Co-op is a wonderful community that enabled not only our kids to bond, but fostered friendships among the parents. Parenting a young child can be isolating; the Co-op is anything but. Some of my closest friends in the area are other Co-op moms who I might not have gotten to know at a school with a car line.
