Hartshorn Elementary School

Hartshorn Elementary School is one of Millburn's five public elementary schools. The school is in the Short HillsMore section of the community and was originally constructed in 1958. School officials completed renovations on the school in 1997. A second addition was completed in 2004.

The PTO and parents are active as volunteers at the school. The PTO sponsors the After School Enrichment program, which runs from 3-4 pm after school. The topics in the program change with every session.

South Mountain Elementary School

South Mountain Elementary is one of Millburn's five elementary schools, although it has not always been used as anMore elementary school. The school was closed in 1983 when enrollment dropped, but it was re-opened in 1998. In the interim, the school was used as a day care facility. The facilities were renovated before the school re-opened. The school is also home to the district's Pre-K program.

Glenwood Elementary School is one of Millburn's five public elementary schools. Located in the Short Hills section ofMore Millburn, the school has an active Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) that sponsors many activities including an after-school program.
Millburn Township School District

The Millburn School District consists of seven schools — one high school, one middle school and five elementaryMore schools — and is considered one of the best districts in New Jersey.

Millburn High School is a national Blue Ribbon School, and New Jersey Monthly rated it New Jersey's top high school in 2008. Millburn Middle School has been named a Benchmark School of Excellence for five straight years.

The Education Center houses the district's administration offices, including the school's superintendent. It's also where the Board of Education holds its meetings twice a month.

The offices are located on the same property as Millburn High School, and there is a strict parking enforcement. Anyone visiting the Education Center needs to get a visitor's parking pass otherwise they run the risk of receiving a parking ticket.

Far Brook School

Winston School

The Winston School assists students who have language-based learning disabilities. It is a non-profit school that drawsMore students in grades one through eight. The school opened in 1981 with one classroom and it was named after Winston Churchill, who also had learning disabilities.

Christ Church Nursery School

Sponsored by Christ Church in Short Hills, Christ Church Nursery School was established in 1962. The state-licensedMore school runs from mid-September to mid-June and also hosts an annual six-week summer program. Following a vigorous curriculum, certified teachers plan learning activities for children ages two to five. Flexible childcare is also available at the school's Drop in Center for children ages six months through five years. Although, Christ Church is an Episcopal church, the school is open to children of all faiths. Registration is held the first week in February for the upcoming school year. Limited openings are sometimes available throughout the school year. Please call for additional information. Visitors are welcome!
Millburn Middle School

Millburn Middle School is a stone's throw away from downtown Millburn and Paper Mill Playhouse on Main Street. TheMore school has been named a Benchmark School by the New Jersey Department of Education every year since the program was created because of high test scores. In addition to strong academics, students are afforded opportunities to explore music, art and other interests. An addition is being made to the school facility to handle an increase in enrollment.
Millburn Cooperative Nursery School

Located in a one-room schoolhouse on the edge of Taylor Park, this nursery school is the cooperative effort of a groupMore of families who say they are "concerned about the quality of our children's early years." The school's staff of experienced educators are assisted on a daily basis by parent volunteers, providing a safe and caring educational environment.  The Millburn Cooperative Nursery School is dedicated to promoting students' social, intellectual, creative and emotional development. Millburn High School

Millburn High School was named the best high school in the state by New Jersey Monthly in 2008. The U.S.More Department of Education named it a Blue Ribbon school in 2007. Millburn High regularly receives high marks for its academics, including the number of AP exams students take each year. But students don't have their nose in their books completely. There is a vast arts program and many students are also involved in athletics. Students are also taking top science prizes in national contests.

The school has a strict parking program. You must have a parking permit in order to park at the school. Those visiting should report to the office to receive a temporary parking pass. An addition to the school – including an expanded cafeteria and new classrooms – is slated to be completed for the 2009-10 school year.
