Also, a safe was stolen from Calico Corners on Morris Turnpike.
While several burglaries were reported in the last week throughout Millburn-Short Hills, police are saying they are not necessarily related to those previously reported. Police Capt. James Miller, public information officer, said the incidents either were not located in the Wyoming and South Mountain sections or did not follow the method used in those incidents. A string of burglaries to both homes and cars have been reported in recent weeks in those two neighborhoods. In the case of the car burglaries, police report the cars were unlocked at the time of the incident. Those with information are asked to contact police at 973-564-7017. On Saturday evening, police investigated a burglary at a Mechanic Street apartment. Two collectors' …

Several home and car burglaries have been reported in the Wyoming and South Mountain sections of town.
Millburn police are reminding residents to lock their cars and set their alarms due to a number of home and car burglaries reported in the South Mountain and Wyoming sections in the last few weeks. Police have already arrested two men in connection to three car burglaries on Myrtle Avenue first reported in September, and they're seeking a third suspect for the burglaries, according to Capt. James Miller, police public information officer. But the other crimes have not been connected to those three burglaries, he said. There are extra police patrolling the area, he said, but it's also important for residents in those areas of town to be vigilant. People should lock their car, lock the garage, keep the windows and doors at home locked and …
