There are some tweaks to the guidelines of how many students should be in a class.
The Millburn School District has written class size guidelines for the first time under Schools Supt. James Crisfield, but there are concerns of expectations from school board members. The Millburn Board of Education reviewed the new set of class size guidelines during its meeting Monday night. The board won't vote on the guidelines since it's not a policy. Crisfield said the guidelines had been unwritten in the past, so he looked to put something on paper. The proposal, which was handed out to the public during Monday's meeting, has some changes to the current standard. I agree. Also after speaking to some BOE members, the decision to reduce the 8th grade from 4-3 teams wasn't confirmed. A bit surprised to see this in the projections.   more ›
