Light to dark roasts and blends using coffee beans from more than seven different countries, The Coffee Mill Roasters has everything for coffee lovers and roasts it all in house. Excuse us while we sip from our third cup of the day. Whether you are a Patch editor or just an everyday joe, a lot of people enjoy their Morning Joe. Some like Joe in the afternoon, at night or, heck, how about all day? But, according to a New Jersey Newsroom article, those of us enjoying our coffee a little too often might be at greater risk of damaging our eyesight. Sorry, we couldn't read that -- we were wiping a smudge off our glasses. According to the article, citing both articles in Medical Daily and Science Daily, a study conducted at Harvard University has determined that people who drink three or more cups of coffee a day have a better chance of developing what is called "exfoliation glaucoma" than those who do not partake. Coffeehouse opens Orlando store, plans tastings and new machine in Millburn location.
Finding a cup of coffee in downtown Millburn is not that hard, but the owner of the Rockn' Joe Coffee chain is looking to make his stores stand out with a new style of coffee drinking. Kevin Brennan, the founder of the coffee chain, said he is in the process of making several changes to the coffee styles in the chain's seven locations. The main thrust of these changes is to bring the third wave of coffee to the cafes. Meaning there will be more of a focus on the actual flavors in the drink, in a hope to making the drinking of coffee similar to the drinking of wine. As if Millburn traffic isn't bad enough, cutting Millburn Avenue down to a one lane road would be awful. It's already bad enough during rush hour with the incessant traffic one has to face on Main St. With its traffic lights and cross walks, Millburn Ave seems plenty safe in my opinion...unless, of course, you are jaywalking.   more ›
