DiVincenzo to Present State of the County Tuesday

Christie, Sweeney, Oliver to attend address at Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove.

  When Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. presents his 10th State of the County address on Tuesday, Feb. 19, he’ll deliver the address before an audience that will include Gov. Chris Christie, state Senate President Stephen Sweeney and state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver. The address, to be delivered at the Essex County Hospital Center, 204 Grove St. in Cedar Grove, begins at 7 p.m. and will focus on the progress the county has made over the past year. DiVincenzo is expected to stress the county’s accomplishments and offer a blueprint of the programs, events and progress being made throughout the county. Absolutely right, Adam. The last thing we need is for the county to spend like it does on parks, miniature golf and restaurants that *might* be a good long-term investment. I'll bet the county could return $10- to each household if they stopped erecting expensive signs with Joe Di's name and picture. Time fore a regime change. County Exec Touts Accomplishments in Tough Times

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. points to successes and challenges over the last year in his State of the County speech.

From promoting fiscal responsibility to improving parks and recreational facilities, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. touted the year’s successes and the challenges ahead at his annual State of the County speech. It is the ninth such speech DiVincenzo has given during his three terms as county executive. Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, Newark Mayor Cory A. Booker, and a host of legislators and local elected officials attended the standing-room only event Monday night held at the county’s Hospital Center in Cedar Grove. “I’m here to celebrate the successes of Essex County and its comeback,” said Guadagno, who brought greetings from Gov. I'm pleased to read the unanimous anti-Joe comments here. Amazing how he spins overtaxing and overspending as fiscally conservative. The Freeloaders, oops Freeholders, are an even bigger joke as they follow whatever Joe wants to do with little public opposition.
