If you're willing to go early (ie before 7:15), you can drop them either in or outside the circle, rather than by the Papermill. The kids in my carpool prefer that drop off, particularly with heavy backpacks, even though they have to get up a little earlier.   more ›

MarkDS -- Responding to your email, the team involved with Grease at Deerfield did, in fact, substantially re-write the show, eliminating inappropriate text, lyrics, references and entire songs. The edited/re-written version was completely suitable and appropriate for 5th graders, and resulted in a phenomenal experience for the kids, as well as a tremendous show for the audience!   more ›

They’ve also been collecting donations in each homeroom all week. The students ask that you look for them outside banks, stores and restaurants today and consider giving…

Dear Milburn High School, I found this site shared by my colleague in US. He attended Milburn High School. I was very surprised to see your activity because I didn't know there are people care about what happened in Japan, far away country from the US. The writing on the shirt "Kibou( = Hope) " is a word encouraging word, very warm and powerful word. I would like to thank you very much all of you…   more ›

Deerfield Shows Its Spirit

The elementary school holds its annual Schoolebration pep rally.

The color of choice in Deerfield Elementary School's gym on Friday was blue and white. And inside voices weren't expected as students showed off their spirit at the school's annual Schoolebration. Each grade showed off its own cheer as part of the rally. Principal Kelly Salazar and Instructional Supervisor Audra Berger got in on the act too when students spelled out the school name. The duo formed the "I" in "Deerfield" when no one came forward to do it. The school bulldog mascot was on hand and brought the loudest cheers from students.

Vote for your school and submit an idea on how the money should be spent to help give it a chance to win it.
