Most Dangerous Intersection in Millburn-Short Hills

[POLL] Let Patch know which intersections you think are the most dangerous in the township.

As the weather warms up and it finally seems like Spring has arrived in Millburn and Short Hills, more and more residents will be ditching their cars to run, walk or bike throughout town.  As a result, foot traffic will increase in the already busy Millburn downtown, where over the last year more than three people have been hit by cars near the main intersection of Millburn Avenue and Main Street. One of the accidents was a 14-year-old boy, who was hospitalized after being hit by a car in March 2012 and in less than three months an 18-year-old was hit and hospitalized at the same intersection. More recently, on March a 31-year-old woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car downtown.  So is this the most dangerous intersection in town…

Most Dangerous Road in Millburn-Short Hills

[POLL] Let Patch know which roads you think are the most dangerous in the township.

Although winter should be in all our rear-view mirrors in the next few weeks — hopefully — slippery or not, some roads are always a little bit more dangerous than others. There have been many accidents on John F. Kennedy Parkway, as well as flooding, over the years but so has the Morris Turnpike. Do you tend to aviod either of those roads? Just in the last year, there's been at least three pedestrians hit in downtown Millburn. However, is it more dangerous there or winding through the South Mountian Reservation on Brookside Drive? Let us know in our poll below and comments what you think is the most dangerous in Millburn-Short Hills. Also, share any specific intersections you think are worse than others.
