Millburn Rides for Memories Live [Photos]

FlyWheel Millburn hosted Memories Ride, a spin/cycle fundraiser to support the non-profit organization Memories Live on Sunday, Jan. 13.

FlyWheel Millburn hosted Memories Ride, a spin/cycle fundraiser to support the non-profit organization Memories Live on Sunday, Jan. 13. The mission of Memories Live is to help people with life-limiting illnesses preserve their images, stories and wisdom by creating free personalized movies to pass on to their loved ones. The proceeds from the event will go directly to making movies for those who are terminally ill.  The event featured supermodel Emme, the world’s first full-figured supermodel. Last year the event raised close to $20,000. This year the non-profit hopes to raise $30,000 so it can create 20 movies in 2013.

Comings and goings in downtown Millburn; merchants hopeful that new businesses mean things are looking up.

Editor's note: This is the first in a series about Millburn and Short Hills businesses called What's in Store. Check back tomorrow for a story on the restaurant opening up this fall at the Short Hills Train Station.  The recession and a high unemployment rate in the last few years have been tough on businesses everywhere and downtown Millburn is no exception.
