Ridgewood Home Burglarized During the Day
Blotter also includes vandalism to a car and a shoplifting arrest. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Sometime on Monday between 5:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., someone broke into a home on Ridgewood Road in Millburn. The homeowner returned home at 2 p.m. Monday to find that the front door was slightly open and the door frame was damaged. She called police and they checked the house but found no one still on the premises. She then went inside and noticed that two televisions were missing, that the master bedroom was ransacked and a $10,000 diamond tennis bracelet was also missing, as was a container of old coins valued at $500. The Essex County K-9 unit arrived to track the scent and police canvassed the area, but the suspect was not found.
