Millburn Library presents family film series, “Around the World”, a six week film series, premiering Jan. 20 at 1 p.m on the second floor. The library invites families to enjoy these films that celebrate the beauty of film and story telling. Spanning the globe are six films that are truly captivating. Best yet — all screenings are free. Many local families mark the day
The Roth family of West Orange will spend Tuesday with "flicks and 'sticks," says Debra Roth. Three generations of her family, including her children and one set of grandparents, will gather at her home for a movie marathon, the "flicks," and their favorite Chinese food. "That's the sticks, as in chopsticks" she explains. While her family doesn't celebrate Christmas as a holy day, they have marked the day with movies and their favorite food for decades. The Roths are hardly alone; when Patch asked others how they will spend Tuesday, Nancy Janow of South Orange described a day of movie-going and food from two different Chinese restaurants. A new program for mature adults.
The Millburn Library is offering a new program, "Tuesdays," geared to mature adults showing seven movies in July and August. Begining today, the program will start at 11 a.m. and will end after around 2:30 p.m. when the movie ends providing a day of social and stimulating activity in a comfortable setting. The library's goal is to enrich residents time with friends and neighbors in our community. Programs will focus on the community, wellness, health education, entertainment and special luncheons.
