As the holiday shopping season goes into full swing, some people are maxing out their credit cards to pay for presents and others are setting budgets and sticking with them. Scour just about any Facebook stream or stop in a local coffee shop and chances are you’ll hear parents debating the merits of setting spending limits. Retailers and shoppers prepare for Black Friday. The MPD gives safety tips.
If you're heading out for Black Friday today, there are deals to be found in Millburn-Short Hills. People will be heading to various area stores to take part in what is the biggest shopping day of the year, including the Mall at Short Hills and the downtown area. The parking lot was already filled at the mall on Wednesday. Many downtown businesses will also be offering discounts and deals to shoppers on Friday. Schultz Fur is offering 35 percent off in its store and offering free shearling gloves on purchases over $500.
