Committee to Introduce Capital Ordinances for Township Improvements

Here's what is going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

  Tonight, the Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Town Hall on the second floor. Agenda is attached for review. Also tonight, over at Town Hall, the Lackawanna Coalition is scheduled to meet on the second floor at 7:30 p.m.  On Tuesday, the Township Committee is set to meet at 8 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall. Full agenda attached. Crisfield to Give Presentation on School Rankings at BOE Meeting This Week Ahead

Here's what's going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Monday, Millburn's Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for 7:45 p.m in the Education Center. Full agenda attached for review.  Superintendent Dr. James Crisfield will give a presentation to address the recent rankings and reports published, the Millburn school district announced. The presentation will include an explanation of the new state Performance Reports, how they differ from the former NJ state report cards and what they mean for Millburn Schools, according to the announcement. The district encourages members of the community to attend. On Tuesday, Srujana Sinha, a sophomore at Millburn High School, is having a photography exhibition at the Millburn Public Library. Stop & Shop Discussions, Committee to Approve Budget and Girls' Night Out: This Week Ahead

Here's what's going on around Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Monday, the Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Town Hall on the second floor. Agenda is attached for review. Discussion will continue on the proposed Stop & Shop on Millburn Avenue in Springfield. Testimony from the supermarket started in March 2012 but has met much resitence from residents, such as Residents for Traffic Safety. The main concern raised has been the increased traffic as well as truck traffic on Millburn Avenue.  What do you think? Do you have any issues with a new food store moving in on Millburn Avenue? This will make your blood boil! Stop & Shop just filed a lawsuit to block the approval of a new ShopRite in Wycoff, NJ. near an existing Stop & Shop. Their claim: that the proposed ShopRite supermarket would exacerbate traffic and drainage problems in the area!! These arguments are the same ones that Stop & Shop are claiming are not valid here in Millburn. And they are being argued by the same …   more ›

Board to Approve Summer Projects Tonight This Week Ahead

Here's what's going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Monday, Millburn's Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for 7:45 p.m in the Education Center. The board is set to read, on second reading, policy and bylaw revisions. Full agenda attached. Also on the agenda, Millburn Board of Education will approved school projects for this coming summer throughout the district. The resolution will address the following issues in the district: In the last meeting, the board unanimous appointed John Westfall-Kwong to fill an open seat on the township school board.  On Wednesday, The Planning Board meeting is set to meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall. Spring Recess, National Volunteer Week This Week Ahead

Here's what is on the agenda in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

This week Millburn Schools are off for Spring Recess, except Deerfield and Hartshorn schools that have to make up days from Hurricane Sandy. Deerfield will be in session for a full, normal schedule, day on Monday, April 22 and Hartshorn will have full, normal schedule, days on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23. Also this week, New Eyes for the Needy is celebrating National Voluteer Week for its dedicated volunteers.  On Monday, the Essex County Clerk will be at Millburn Library for passports from 2 to 8 p.m. according to the township website.  Also tonight, over at Town Hall, the Lackawanna Coalition is scheduled to meet on the second floor at 7:30 p.m.  Donation drop-offs for the second annual rummage sale on Saturday, April 27 …

Board of Ed to Elect New Board Member

On Monday, Millburn's Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for 7:45 p.m in the Education Center. Committee To Announce Township's Reaction to TMB Court Ruling

Here's what is on the agenda in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Tuesday, the Millburn Township Committee will meet at 8 p.m. on the second floor of Millurn Town Hall. On the agenda, the committee has a resolution to approve 2013 budget and set the public hearing date. Additionally, traffic ordinaces in the township are up for second reading and adoption. Check out attached agenda for more information.  In the last meeting, more than 25 Millburn and Short Hills residents showed up at Tuesday's township committee meeting to rail against a recent Superior Court ruling requiring Millburn to provide sewer service to Livingston apartments. This Week Around Town

Here's what is going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

This week in Millburn, the religious festivities switched the Board of Education's meeting date to Sunday evening. The 2013-2014 school budget was approved at the meeting. The tax increase will increase taxes for residents about $15 per $100,000 property valuation. For example, for a township home assessed at $1,000,000, taxes will increase an estimated $151. On Monday, the Jewish festival of Passover begins at sundown. Township Council Meets Tuesday This Week Ahead

Here's what is on the agenda in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Monday, the Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Town Hall on the second floor. The board will discuss 2012 year-end report as well as proposed Stop & Shop at 92 Millburn Ave. Agenda is attached for review.  On Tuesday, the Millburn Township Committee will meet at 8 p.m. on the second floor of Millurn Town Hall.
