MSPEC and Winston School Co-Host ADHD Seminar

Highly-renowned speaker Edward M. Hallowell, M.D join the organizations in Short Hills on Feb. 7.

Millburn-Short Hills Special Education Committee (M-SPEC) and the the Winston School are co-hosting a seminar with highly-renowned speaker Edward M. Hallowell, M.D. on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary at Christ Church, 66, Highland Ave, Short Hills, NJ. Residents are invited to attend the seminar as the organizations learn about “Finding the Buried Treasure in ADHD”. A limited number of complimentary seats are available. During this extraordinary evening, Dr. Hallowell, author of the best seller, “Driven to Distraction”, will offer a basic introduction to the world of attention deficit disorder, including diagnosis and treatment in both children and adults. Winston School Donates Food For the Holidays

The Short Hills language-based school organized 10 baskets for Thanksgiving.

Students and families from The Winston School in Short Hills recently participated in a Thanksgiving food drive in support of Interfaith Hospitality (IFHN).  Lisa Charles, Winston School Trustee and parent, helped to coordinate the gift of 10 baskets, including a turkey and trimmings, for families receiving assistance from IFHN. Winston families and faculty donated their time, talents and treasures to supplement donations from Springfield Shoprite and Whole Foods Market in Maplewood. Charles and her son Adam, an eighth grade student at Winston, helped to deliver the items to IFHN in time for the holiday.  Interfaith Hospitality Network helps homeless families — parents and children — who are in need of shelter through a network of churches…
