Millburn Driver Issued Summonses for Hitting Bicyclist
Millburn Police issued summonses to the driver of an SUV that hit a 30-year-old Maplewood resident last week.
Millburn police have issued a summons to a 37-year-old Millburn man as a result of last week’s Millburn Avenue hit-and-run accident involving an SUV and bicyclist. The driver, Marc Lombardy, was issued summonses for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, Millburn police said. According to police, the Maplewood bicyclist, Johnathon Cain, 30, was struck Wednesday around 10 a.m. as Lombardy made a right-hand turn onto Wyoming Avenue from Millburn Avenue. Cain told police, he managed to jump off his bicycle after it was hit, avoiding any injuries. Millburn’s First Aid Squad responded to the accident and released Cain after a brief examination.
