ReplyI haven't liked this guy from the get-go. He likes two things; getting him name on everything and doing favors for friends like opening McLoones . Now, they're opening the reservoir to people, and inviting litter to enter the waterway and surrounding areas. He has not even LOOKED at the incredible litter along Cherry Lane, Brookside Drive or South Orange Avenue and tried to clean THAT up - I guess because you can't put a name on that.

ReplyThe trouble in the reservation is (Brookside Drive to Cherry Lane), you have bike riders and joggers sharing an extremely limited space. If DiVincenzo would stop building restaurants and putting his name on things, he'd realize there needs to be a widening of that road for safety reasons, not to mention cleaning up the awful litter alongside.

ReplySo, are you suggesting every teacher have a firearm? I disagree with that - first of all, where would the firearm be kept? Secondly, how quickly could a teacher drop a lesson, go searching for a locked gun in time to shoot an intruder while in class - sounds completely unrealistic and unsafe! No, maybe an armed guard at a school, but not teachers!

ReplyForget Stop & Shop, how is already-terrible traffic going to be when they open the commuting garage on Essex Street? Hows THAT going to impact traffic? Do town planners even think about how some of these projects affect Millburn's congestion problems? I don't think they care!

ReplyAll this sounds lovely, but if that reservoir that I've grown up with shows signs of litter and other human damage, I'm going to blame those who approved this. I worry, because I see SO MUCH LITTER alongside the roads when I walk through Brookside Drive!! I hope Mr. DiVincenzo enforces litter laws in the Reservoir better than he does along the roads.

And who will pick up all the litter people will invariable leave at this once-preserved
reservoir and land? Just look at the sides of Cherry Lane/Brookside Drive all the way to PaperMill Playhouse. It's disgraceful! Bottles and other crap along the entire way!
Is this really a good idea?
