Realistic Person........Seems as if your idea has merit. Why don't you seek the backing of Downtown Millburn and the Chamber of Commerce and start a grassroots effort to make it happen?

ReplyDespite all of the efforts by MPD and others to encourage people to lock their car doors, too many people are not heeding the warning. Perhaps it's time for a new approach. Why not pass an ordinance to allow those who do not lock their doors to be fined if the police are required to respond? This may act as a deterrent to those that are careless and the revenue could be used to offset police expense.

ReplyDr. Crisfield continues to use his "letters to the editor" as a venue for communicating to township residents, not as a means of diversion.
I believe his top priority is to do what is best for students, parents and teachers of the district!
It is not an easy job and he excels at what he does.

Jill....The "Click It Or Ticket" program is not just another way for towns to generate revenues. It is a national program that has had a positive impact on drivers throughout the country. Further, EVERY NJ town does NOT HAVE its own police department. Many are policed by Sheriffs Departments and the State Police. Several of your Patch comments wreak of sarcasm. What positive ideas do you have?
