Maplewood Community Music, a local non-profit, operates several amateur bands and ensembles for hobbyist musicians and performs free concerts throughout the Maplewood area.

Our 50+ musicians (and growing) are your neighbors, friends and coworkers, and nearly all work outside the music industry. Beyond the music, many of our musicians volunteer to work on the various behind the scenes activities required to run a non-profit organization.

We not only host several free concerts throughout the year for audiences of all ages including families, seniors, veterans and our youth, but we also partner with various local organizations such as our schools, town departments, libraries and business districts to provide music, demonstrate instruments and music styles, support benefit events and support other music-related programs.

Our ensembles:

• Maplewood Concert Band

• Swing Town, our community big band

Musicians Wanted!

The Maplewood Community Concert Band always has room for new members and welcomes all woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians (even really rusty ones!) with at least high school level playing experience. Dust off your instrument and stop by any rehearsal. 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the DeHart Community Center. College and high school music students, we want you too! Help serve your community and gain experience performing under a different conductor and interact with our other members.
