Sitting outside and enjoying one's backyard has become increasingly more difficult.
When my boys were young - back in pee wee football, biddy basketball, T-ball
- parents took turns bringing snacks. Cut up oranges, granola bars, Gatorade.
I get it.
The word "internship" is popping up in my circle more and more frequently as of late. Usually as in, "My kid's looking for an internship for the summer...do you know anyone?"
It has come to my attention that a good number of high school seniors this year have been wait-listed at the colleges of their choice. I'm not sure if I'm alone, but I am absolutely amazed by this.
A dog is an incredible animal. So loyal and loving. So undemanding and so giving.
There's some natural catastrophe hitting us once a month or so. I used to think our area was immune to things like hurricanes and earthquakes.
Sunday evenings are my favorite. The tail-end of a lazy Sunday, order in Chinese or Italian, kick back to watch 60 Minutes followed by our line-up of HBO shows.
